Vacheron Constantin Quai de l’Île Ref 4500S: Review And Singapore Price

The iconic Quai de l’Île family welcomes new entry-level members (Ref 4500S/000A-B195 and 4500S/000A-B196) in a modern stainless steel interpretation.
First unveiled in 2008, Quai de l’Île was famed for its customisable allure, from its 10-part case construction that allowed owners to mix-and-match materials to their hearts' content, to offering them a huge selection of dials, straps and folding clasps. This year's version, though, adopts a more straightforward approach by focusing on price and profile. The new Quai de l’Île continues to bear the collection's distinctive aesthetics. The shape-in-shape design, where the cushion case has a round bezel and tonneau caseband, anchors the look. Elsewhere, a multi-level dial, either black or silver-toned, features a transparent mineral glass disc stamped with the days of the month. Complemented by a chestnut-hued alligator leather strap, the watch is powered by the sophisticated Calibre 5100 automatic movement with 60-hour power reserve. While all these are well and good, the deal clincher for this Geneva Hallmark-certified watch is its stainless steel construction, which means that the watch is now considerably more affordable than its forebears.
