Patek Philippe Takes Collectors On A Sound Odyssey

Watch aficionados looking for a sound investment found themselves at the right place at ‘The Pinnacle of Horology’ event, co-hosted by Patek Philippe and Emperor Watch & Jewellery. Flagged as a “sound tasting session” and held at Iggy’s, 18 VIP customers embarked to a multi-sensory – experiencing Patek’s prized minute repeaters at close quarters, followed by gastronomic delights from the award-winning restaurant.

Guests were asked to place themselves in the shoes of Patek Philippe’s president Thierry Stern, who personally tests every single minute repeater before it leaves the factory. Blindfolded, they were asked to grade three minute repeaters according to the chimes’ rhythm, volume, duration, pitch, harmony and equilibrium. The brand’s international trainer, Anne-Gaelle Ruch, was on hand to conduct the highly educational and insightful session.
