Omega Offers New Five-Year Warranty

Omega Co-Axial Calibre 8400

How is this for peace of mind?

Omega's new five-year warranty that covers all its new watches isn’t only assuring to customers, but also serves as a show of manufacturing might for the Swiss watchmaking giant.

Typically, most Swiss watch brands offer two-year warranty for their timepieces. That is also true for Omega, except that it also previously upped the ante for models with co-axial escapement (three years), as well as those with co-axial and silicon balance, and Master Chronometers (four years).

The decision to offer a five-year warranty is likely to have been bolstered by the opening of the brand’s new factory in Bienne, which houses new and advanced quality control facilities that subject the watches to even more challenging tests. Omega CEO, Raynald Aeschilemann, says that “trust” is what ultimately drives the raising of warranty standards. “Our enduring commitment at Omega is to the satisfaction and confidence of our customers,” he states.

The new five-year warranty covers any watch purchased on, or after 1 July 2018.
