Review: Jaquet Droz – The Bird Repeater Geneva

Want to know what Jaquet Droz is all about from a single timepiece? The Bird Repeater is a good place to start.

A minute repeater that chimes the time on demand, the watch’s aural excitement is complemented by breathtakingly animated dial components. The dial depicts a flowing waterfall, birds spreading their wings feeding fledglings and an egg hatching – all rendered in glorious technicoloured enamel and life-like mini sculptures. Art, drama and mechanical ingenuity rolled into one, this watch is actually the third edition of the Bird Repeater collection, featuring Geneva’s iconic landmarks on the dial in tribute to the cradle of Swiss watchmaking. Limited to eight pieces in red gold case.

Price: S$752,000 (incld GST)
