BRAND HISTORY
Jaeger-LeCoultre’s history can be traced back to the 16th century, although its horological lineage started officially in 1833, when founder Pierre LeCoultre’s descendant, Antoine, invented a machine that could fashion watch pinions from steel and subsequently conceived the Millionometre and keyless winding system. In 1937, Antoine’s grandson, Jacques-David, collaborated with a French watchmaker, Edmond Jaeger, to develop and produce ultra-thin movements that the latter had invented. The founders’ spirit of innovation and technical excellence has defined the company to this day. Find out more here.
