NEW: Franck Muller Cintrée Curvex Master Banker Asia Exclusive

Franck Muller’s exclusive multi-time zone complication for the region.
Not one for subtlety, Franck Muller wholeheartedly subscribes to the ‘go big or go home’ mantra. Why make a watch with just 10 complications when you can build the most complicated wristwatch ever (Aeternitas Mega 4, we’re looking at you)? In the same vein, why settle for a dual-time zone complication when you can have three time zones in one watch? And—get this—all adjusted via a single crown.
As with most horological complications, the Master Banker timepiece was developed out of necessity. The simple backstory tells of an Iranian banker who wanted to see three trading time zones at once. And since time is of the essence when it comes to trading, a watch for bankers would have to be quickly and easily read.
While most multi-time zone watches feature only extra hour hands, the Master Banker comes with three separate time indicators, with hour and minute hands for each. In addition, the time can also be set to a half hour difference to account for all time zones.
But ease of reading also needs to be paired with ease of use, hence the single crown operation. In its default position, the crown is used for winding. In the middle position, it’s used to set the two secondary time zones and, in its third position, the crown is used to set the local time. This is made possible by the addition of a pinion to drive both secondary time zones, while the local time runs on the standard gear train.
Housed in Franck Muller’s signature Cintrée Curvex case in 18K rose gold, stainless steel or hand-polished blackened steel, the Master Banker Asia Exclusive comes in a range of seven eye-catching hues from bright tangerine to denim blue, and two sizes—36mm x 50.40 mm or 39.6mm x 55.40mm. Running on the in-house Calibre MVD 2800-MBSC, the watch has a power reserve of 42 hours and 30m water-resistance.
Limited to 700 pieces, the Master Banker Asia Exclusive is available in Franck Muller boutiques and authorised retailers across Asia.
