INTRODUCING: Corum Admiral 42 Automatic Black and Gold Limited Edition (Ref. A395/04463)

The Corum Admiral 42 Automatic Black and Gold Ref. A395/04463 in high-tech ceramic case with carbon and gold bezel.

The special edition is the third in three years and is exclusively available at Cortina Watch’s new online retail platform.

Just a couple of months ago, Cortina Watch announced the relaunch and refresh of its e-commerce platform, which is now integrated into its website. The e-shop offers several brands ranging from Franck Muller to Bell & Ross, Corum, and Tudor, to name a few. The online retail platform has been improved with new safety features and enhanced user interface to optimise the online retail experience. As in the past, Cortina Watch will also be releasing exclusive retail models and limited editions available only on its e-shop.

The first of these special editions has been announced with Corum. The two brands have been partners for decades and have created limited editions in the past, including the Admiral 45 Tourbillon for Cortina Watch’s 50th anniversary celebrations and a limited edition Admiral 42 Automatic Grey Monochrome, in sandblasted stainless steel with a gradient grey dial in 2021 that was retailed exclusively online. This new 50-piece limited edition Admiral 42 Automatic Black and Gold Ref. A395/04463 is a high-tech watch with a modern design aesthetic.

The watch case is in a sandblasted black high-tech ceramic that’s hard and ultra-lightweight and paired with a carbon and gold bezel that Corum introduced several years ago in its high-end timepieces. It’s a material that’s unique to the brand, with 18K gold inclusions in the carbon material and moulded into the bezel’s shape. Since the inclusions are random, that means every bezel is different.

The sunray-brushed anthracite dial features gold accents to match the carbon and gold bezel and ceramic case of the Corum Admiral 42 Automatic Black and Gold watch.

The black and gold tones are continued on the dial and crown, with a rose gold-coloured minute track against a sunray-finished, anthracite dial, gold hands, logo, and small seconds counter. The nautical pennant hour markers are also in anthracite and coated with Super-LumiNova for nighttime visibility. There’s also a small date window at 3 o’clock. A vulcanised rubber strap with a folding clasp is paired with the watch. Powering this watch is Corum’s in-house CO 395 self-winding movement, a sturdy beater with 42 hours of autonomy.

The caseback of the Corum Admiral 42 Automatic Black and Gold features the brand's automatic CO395 movement.
