Casio G-Shock ‘DJ Dash Berlin’ GA110DB-7A: Singapore Price And Review

Casio turns up the volume with another EDM collab.
Known for marathon high-energy trance sets, and vocals-heavy catchy hooks on his own tracks, Dash Berlin (DJ Jeffery Sutorius) has collaborated with musical heavyweights spanning Dubvision to Emma Hewitt. For watch nerds, though, it is this tie-up with Japanese giant Casio that has raised our respective heart rates.
A pimpin’ monster of a watch, the Casio G-Shock ‘DJ Dash Berlin’ makes no apologies for its ostentation, dressed in white with rose gold accents all over. The contrast is superb and eye-catching, whether on the G-Shock’s muscular case framing a stylised case that evokes the look of a cybernetic engine (the gear shaped dial centre and analogue hands add a nice steampunk-inspired touch), or the artfully perforated strap emblazoned with Dash Berlin’s logo.
A fan of G-Shock, Dash Berlin calls the collaboration with Casio “a dream come true” and proclaims the co-created watch “a future classic”. For the record, the pristine case and strap aren’t the result of hip hop-inspired flashiness, but a symbolic interpretation of life’s endless possibilities, with white representing “the blank canvas of life”.
Speaking of canvas, the model used for the purpose of this collaboration is the GA-110, which is the go-to reference for numerous tie-ups, including those with Singaporean artist Jahan Loh and New York fashion designers Dee and Ricky. Besides the G-Shock’s famed shock resistance, the GA-110 is equipped with features such as anti-magnetism, 200m water resistance and 29-city world time zone display.
