Breitling And KrisShop Collaborate On Two Limited Edition Navitimers
A partnership made in aeronautical dreamland.
It is safe to say that we have come a long way when it comes to checking out watches at your favourite airline’s shop. Gone are the days when one would flip through a tattered catalogue on a plane and be presented with options that, frankly, wouldn’t have made an impression if you were shopping on land. As Breitling and KrisShop’s collaboration demonstrates, not only can you now shop anywhere at your convenience with your favourite carrier, there are exciting – and exclusive – timepieces to be had.
KrisShop is the omnichannel retail arm of the world-renowned Singapore Airlines. As such, it seems almost natural that the travel retailer would partner with Breitling, which makes some of the world’s most iconic aviation-inspired watches, for its co-signed limited edition tickers. For their inaugural collaboration, Breitling and KrisShop introduce two limited edition watches: the Navitimer B01 Chronograph 41 Singapore Airlines Limited Edition and Navitimer Automatic 38 Singapore Airlines Limited Edition, each capped at 100 pieces.

The famed Navitimer, which celebrates its 70th anniversary this year, is a pioneering pilot’s watch. Distinguished by a circular slide rule on its inner dial that helps pilots perform all sorts of calculations from unit conversions to the aeroplane’s rate of climb and descent, the Navitimer is one of Breitling’s most coveted models.
Both the Navitimer B01 Chronograph 41 and Navitimer Automatic 38 Singapore Airlines Limited Editions feature gorgeous sunray navy dials that echo the national carrier’s corporate colour. Elsewhere, the watches’ crowns are stamped with the Singapore Airlines logo. Also, the Navitimer Automatic 38 Singapore Airlines Limited Edition’s caseback comes engraved with batik motifs – a signature of the airline and KrisShop’s ‘Batik Label’ concept store that features one-of-a-kind collaborations with its partners.
“This is a truly collaborative effort between Breitling’s design department, pilots from Singapore Airlines, and the KrisShop team,” says Alvin Soon, president of Breitling Asia.
Exclusive design accents aside, the Navitimer B01 Chronograph 41 and Navitimer Automatic 38 editions are distinguished by size and technical features. As the name suggests, the former comes in a 41mm case and is driven by Breitling’s in-house automatic B01 movement with column wheel control and 70-hour power reserve. Slightly smaller and more versatile, the Navitimer Automatic 38 Singapore Airlines Limited Edition boasts time-only functionality while framed by the iconic slide rule – a classy and stripped-down take on the Navitimer.

“We’ve always taken pride in being a heritage-rich, local label and feel strongly about bringing our crafts and capabilities to the rest of the world. The output of this collaboration epitomises the distinct traits associated with the wider Singapore brand, which include quality, expertise, and innovation,” says Chris Pok, CEO of KrisShop.
