Review: Breguet – Tradition Répétition Minutes Tourbillon

Breguet’s Tradition watches famously wear their technical sophistication on their sleeves – or dials, to be specific.
The openwork design works wonders to accentuate the watch’s mechanical virtues and doesn’t disappoint here with a forthright display of two of high-end watchmaking’s most beloved complications: the tourbillon and minute repeater. Especially of interest is the chiming mechanism, updated with unusual construction to improve sound quality for all to see. The hammers strike the gongs in a vertical position, while the gong springs have been modified and are attached to the bezel. Available in 44mm white or rose gold cases.
