A. Lange & Söhne Saxonia Automatic Refs. 380.042 & 380.044: Review And Singapore Price

The new Saxonia Automatic timepieces shine with a lustrous new tone.
To commemorate the opening of the new A. Lange & Söhne boutique in Ginza, Tokyo, two Saxonia Automatic models have been introduced in a new dial colour. For the first time ever, the clean dials are dressed in a luscious terra-brown sheen on solid silver. The rich mocha hue is certainly a deviation from traditional Lange dials but in no way less elegant. Paired with either a white or pink gold case, hands and indices, the models retain their dressy appeal and slip easily under your cuff. On the white gold piece, a dark brown alligator strap complements the case while a red brown strap adds to the allure of the pink gold version.
Inside, the slimline 3.7mm high Lange L086.1 self-winding calibre drives the watch with a maximum power reserve of 72 hours. In keeping with the brand’s other models and its dedication to detail, the new Saxonia Automatic timepieces are assembled a second time after individual calibre parts are hand-polished and decorated, with a transparent sapphire caseback allowing you to appreciate the handiwork in all its full glory. If you’re in the market for a classy dress watch, this handsome ticker should be on your shortlist.
