TAG Heuer treats the ladies to a new Aquaracer.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Lady Calibre 9 Automatic

Although TAG Heuer’s founder Edouard Heuer patented the first ever-watertight case in 1892 (and it was a big thing at the time), it wasn’t until 2003 that the brand decided to dedicate an entire collection to this momentous occasion.

The Aquaracer line would go on to become TAG Heuer’s attempt at embodying the aquatic spirit of freedom. Over the years the aesthetics of the collection continue to stay true to its DNA despite going through several evolutions in terms of new materials and movements used. After more than a decade, the Aquaracer has now become an icon in its own right, recognisable from ten feet away.

This year TAG Heuer introduced the all-new ladies version of the Aquaracer, endowed with the robust Calibre 9 automatic movement, which seems to be gaining a foothold amongst smaller timepieces. The design is almost identical to its male counterpart and features the familiar round solid case with a dodecagonal unidirectional bezel with six claws and 10-minute interval counters. The only major difference here is its size, an apt 32mm making it perfect for ladies.

The dial comes in two colour variations, a classy but contrasting black version and a more luxurious white mother-of-pearl version. The dials are decorated with appliqué hour markers coated with Super-LumiNova that’s repeated on the hands, making night-time readability a breeze. For ladies who love the look but prefer to stay on land, there is also a version that’s a little dressier, with diamond indexes (above) for that extra glamorous touch.

The watch is powered by a Calibre 9 automatic movement, which has served many popular TAG Heuer models. Encased in a satin polished stainless steel case, the watch’s sporty looks and solid build endear it to those with sportier personalities and lifestyles, making it the perfect companion for active professionals.
